Responsibilities

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for issuing planned standardized work orders for maintenance to understand their priorities and schedule the needed work. Additionally, the position will require frequent reviews, creation, modification of preventive maintenance programs on each production line and production equipment. Including the addition or removal of equipment that may have been added or removed to the facility. At a minimum annual review of existing PM’s. The Maintenance schedule will reflect priorities at the site (Human Safety, Production, Food Safety, Capital, Facilities, Utilities). Plan and Schedule daily work for Maintenance personnel at Sulphur Springs, TX... Follow up on a regular cadence at a minimum weekly with the maintenance manager or supervisor to review work orders generated vs completed by tech, PM’s generated vs completed on a weekly basis and validation completed by the maintenance planner of work being done and randomly verified additionally by the maintenance supervisor or manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Understand and facilitate Maintenance to perform Production short- and long-term work order priorities in alignment with their needs. Determine priorities for individual work orders. Manage the Maintenance scheduling meeting. 1x at minimum weekly with production, quality and maintenance members. Attend the AM Production meeting; report any issues. Establish, maintain, and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling flow process. Scope the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair / preventive / predictive / capital activities on the organization’s plant and equipment. Prepare purchase order or work with procurement specialist to purchase all necessary parts and provide documentation to perform the maintenance work. Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and job records database. Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of technical information on processes, plant and equipment. Convert work requests to work orders. Schedule maintenance work to align with production plan. Continually improve planning, scheduling, purchasing, stores, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency. Collaborate with maintenance supervision to schedule manpower and resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes. Maintain PM’s and Line Checks. Follow all SQF principles pertinent to your position as specified by the SQF Practitioner. All food safety and human safety concerns need to be reported to appropriate personnel such as shift lead, shift supervisor, QA technician, Safety Manager, FSQ Manager, etc. All other duties as assigned. Knowledge: Detailed, in depth knowledge of purchasing Good business judgment Strong organization and planning skills Above average verbal and written communication Strong computer skills Education/Experience: High School diploma or G.E.D required: Post-secondary school education preferred. 1-year related experience.
