Aerotek is Hiring Mechanical & Electrical Assemblers in Surrey, BC.
Job Description
Seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team, responsible for final stage finishing, accessory additions, and repairs on new and used light duty buses. The role includes completing production work, fitting and installing electrical systems, working with Automotive Type A/C & 12V electrical systems, reading drawings, blueprints, schematics, and code specifications, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical issues, running diagnostic tests, and more. You will also handle floor repairs and shop cleanup as required.
Hard Skills
Assembly and Installation of electrical systems
Valid driver's license
Computer literacy (use of laptop, computer, and iPad for documentation)
Ability to read drawings, blueprints, schematics, and code specifications
Experience with Automotive Type A/C & 12V electrical systems
Ability to troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues
Experience with Multimeter
Soft Skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work in a team and switch tasks as required
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 1040 Hour(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Surrey, British Columbia.
Work Environment
Work in a state-of-the-art, very clean shop equipped with LED lighting, mobile tower hoists, and specific special tools. The shop culture is relaxed with a strong emphasis on safety. You will be working on 1-2 buses per day, with opportunities for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) bus training. The team has a high average tenure, reflecting a stable and positive work environment. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, with no weekend work required
