     License and Certification Qualifications: Certification by Georgia Professional Standards Commission (Ga PSC) required.Education Qualifications: Ed.S. in school psychology required. Ed.D. or Ph.D. preferred.Experience Qualifications: Experience in school psychology required. Experience in leading managing school psychology services preferred.Skills Qualifications: Experience in school psychology required. Experience in leading, managing and evaluating school psychology services preferred.Primary Responsibilities: Coordinate the delivery of psychological services to the students, parents, and teachers of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS).1. Planninga. Develop short and long range goals for the school psychology program.b. Prepare budget request for psychological services.c. Develop evaluation strategies and procedures to assess the effectiveness of the school psychology program.2. Development a. Develop delivery procedures of psychological services.b. Develop and implement individual student assessment procedures.c. Develop procedures that comply with state and federal regulations.3. Leadership responsibilitiesa. Hire, lead, supervise, and evaluate school psychology staff.b. Supervise research conducted within the school psychology program.c. Prepare reports regarding psychological services to the Director and to Department of Education.d. Utilize monthly evaluation data for monitoring all phases of psychological services so as to meet goals and objectives.e. Work with legal staff when litigation, Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)s, and other assessments are needed. Maintain current database of and professional relationships with appropriate independent contractors, psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals as needed.f. Support district Student Support Coordinator (SST) Coordinators.g. Work collaboratively with district and state leadership to facilitate MTSS and Response to Intervention (RTI).h. Assign school psychology staff to schools.4. Advisinga. Assign school psychology staff to local schools.b. Perform system-wide research requests. Review assessment research, select and purchase current evaluation instruments, along with other materials for psychologists.c. Conduct and/or contribute in-service workshops, as requested, in identified areas of need.d. Assist in needs assessment.5. Conduct/assist in conducting appropriate professional learning.a. Plan and facilitate professional growth activities.b. Participate in departmental and/or system staff development activities.c. Provide informal and formal feedback to school psychologists.6. Share expanded knowledge and skills through professional reading practice of new tests and attending professional workshops.7. Establish framework for implementing psychological services based on NASP practice model.8. Perform other duties as assigned.
