Swiss Farms - Swarthmore Sales Associate in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania

Sales Associates come into contact with customers while selling our products. It is vital that all customers

be served promptly, courteously, and in a manner that will enhance the image of the store while

developing excellent customer relations. Sales Associates must be friendly, efficient and courteous for our

business to grow and be successful.

 

Now Hiring: Part time and Full Time associates

Shift: Day, Evening, Weekend and Rotation

 

Functions and responsibilities:

Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

 

Essential:

· Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner within 10 seconds of their arrival.

· Serve customers in a manner that will enhance the image and sales of the store.

· Follow all approved Sales Procedures and Customer Relation policies including handing out sales flyers to each customer and upselling product.

· Present a clean, neat, well-groomed appearance at all times and adherence to uniform requirements.

· Demonstrate a manner, attitude, and personality that will create an atmosphere of friendliness and good will with customers and co-workers.

· Answer customer's questions about menu selections and promotions.

· Receive order from customer and correctly enter it into the POS system.

· Accurately operate cash register and follow all approved cash handling procedures.

· Present customer with properly prepared receipt.

· Thank customer for their visit and extend invitation to return.

· Maintain cleanliness of store by performing routine cleaning and maintenance.

· Keep shelves stocked and product rotated.

· Clean, sanitize, and arrange merchandise in cooler with particular attention to floor, shelves, and cooler doors.

· Follow all company policies and procedures.

· Keeps management informed of items such as out of product situations, customer questions or comments, items that need repaired, etc.

· Treat everyone with respect and courtesy.

 

Non-essential: Requirements Knowledge and skill requirements: Essential:

· Fluent in verbal and written English.

· Communicates in a friendly, personable manner.

· Ability to perform suggestive selling of products.

 

Non-essential:

Prior retail and/or cash handling experience.

 

Physical requirements: Essential:

· Repeatedly lifts and carries up to 25 lbs.

· Stands unassisted for long periods of time.

· Walk unassisted at a fast pace for long periods of time.

· Bends, stoops and kneels.

· Ability to operate a cash register.

· Ability to communicate with customers.

· Ability to endure all weather patterns including but not limited to wind, rain, snow, extreme cold, extreme hot.
