Amazon Senior Product Manager, Customer Programs in Sydney, Australia

Are you an owner and a builder looking to help grow the Australian Amazon business from an early stage? Are you passionate about working with business and technology teams to enhance the customer experience?

Amazon Australia is currently looking for a data-driven product manager to help us grow programs including Subscribe & Save and Everyday Essentials for Australian customers. Subscribe & Save is a program that enables customers to set-up auto-deliveries for Everyday Essentials such as toilet paper, nappies, pantry food and beverages, vitamins and pet food. Customers choose the frequency that they want their products delivered, and receive a 10% discount and free delivery.

As the Sr. Product Manager , you will lead programs holistically, ensuring to deliver a leading class experience for customers, and developing and delivering the roadmap for program growth. To achieve your goals, you will collaborate with local and global teams that cut across the organisation, including technology, vendor management, customer service, marketing, operations and finance.


Our team operates out of our fabulous CBD office (conveniently located near many transportation options), and from home (during COVID-19) leveraging technology.

Key job responsibilities

How you will make an impact:

• Be passionate about the customer experience and deliver innovative enhancements on their behalf.

• Build relationships with and influence global teams across both tech and non-tech.

• Be commercially savvy and have excellent business judgment.

• Develop, prioritise and execute a roadmap of initiatives to grow the program. Key areas include customer acquisition and retention, selection expansion, customer experience and operational excellence.

• Uncover best practice, including through Amazon’s global network, to deliver value for Australian customers.

• Possess strong project management skills and hold your program stakeholders accountable to high standards.

• Bring robust analytical skills, and a deep curiosity about how things work.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience in a technology environment favourable, as well as background in product and/or program management.

  • Working knowledge of SQL and/or databases.

  • MBA, PhD or equivalent.

  • Tenacity to develop ideas independently, balance business needs and customer expectations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse local and global stakeholders.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to use data to inform decisions; superior analytical skills including advanced Excel capability.

  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

  • Ability to execute large projects from start to finish.

  • Capacity to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes.
