MasterCard Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNF) is a global team focused on commercial cards, (such as SME, T&E, Purchasing, Fleet and Virtual), along with B2B accounts payables and receivables, non-carded bill payments, remittances and disbursements and healthcare payment products/solutions.

Unlocking payment and data flows beyond consumer cards is a central part of our Mastercard strategy and represents substantial opportunity.

Overview

The Manager, CNF Strategy team, will be working to ensure coordination and drive impact as we develop and initiate our overall strategic direction and growth priorities for CNF products & solutions globally. It is expected that s/he will be influencing and leading/ working closely within CNF and with cross-functional partners across Mastercard.

Role

• Lead project management for strategic initiatives;

• Come up to speed quickly on a wide range of topics;

• Manage multiple projects efficiently prioritizing and completing highest impact activities quickly and pushing back on work that should be done elsewhere in the organization;

• Partner with a diverse set of stakeholders across the organization to solicit ideas, conduct thought-provoking analysis, and generate buy-in to proposed directions;

• Conduct data-driven analysis on current and potential CNF products/ offerings, including economic analysis, strategic "tailwind" and "headwind" identification, competitive analysis/benchmarking, and business case creation;

• Derive insights and recommendations based on data and fact-base;

• Communicate effectively with executive leadership both in written for (e.g. Powerpoint, emails, memos) and presentations (e.g. steercos);

• Drive action, synthesizing findings into specific initiatives with clear ownership, governance, and tracking.

All About You

• 5+ years business experience ideally with strategy roles or consulting experience at a top-tier firm;

• MBA or relevant post-graduate degree preferred;

• Experience in strategy development and execution, new product development, M&A / partnership strategy, business evaluation, competitive benchmarking, and financial / business case modelling;

• Knowledge of payments and our Mastercard/CNF business is preferred, but not required;

• Experience driving strategic efforts to impact business decisions;

• Have ability to influence and lead others by example through strong leadership, communication, consensus building and interpersonal skills;

• Can facilitate decision making with senior executives driving difficult conversations for productive outcomes;

• Self-driven with high ownership and discipline to ensure progress on track;

• Can drive multiple projects with multiple international teams concurrently.
