Google Technical Program Manager, Legal and Risk Engineering (English) in São Paulo, Brazil

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program management.

  • 2 years of experience in compliance.

  • Ability to communicate in English fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in English with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in program management in technical cross-functional projects, including planning, execution, estimation, risk management and stakeholder management.

  • 3 years of experience working in a software development team developing and reviewing technical requirements, design documents, bug triage, setting technical goals and negotiating technical trade-offs between teams.

  • Experience in improving operational excellence, product excellence, equity, and accessibility.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical groups.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will develop the next generation tool to address increasing global regulations, particularly with respect to content moderation.You will minimize Google's legal and compliance risk while removing content that violates Google product policy, protects user privacy, and promotes user safety. You will uphold Google's core values of preserving access to the world's information and protecting international human rights while fostering agent wellness.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Build and manage integrated schedules and project plans working across UX, Engineering, Product teams.

  • Analyze processes, identify opportunities for improvement, define requirements, and collaborate cross-functionally and cross-product area to improve processes and tools.

  • Drive product excellence through assembly of project delivery success criteria and overseeing progress towards those success metrics.

  • Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams across product area to define project goals, strategy, and roadmaps.

  • Act as the project go-to person, communicating status to leadership and stakeholders, identifying roadblocks and proposing go-forward solutions. Use technical acumen to influence best outcomes both within the team, as well as with stakeholders and partners.
