Job Description:
Project Manager - Common Asset Design Consultants (NEOM THE LINE) -
Location: Primarily London-based with periodic travel to NEOM, Saudi Arabia (estimated less than bi-monthly).
Role Overview:
Parsons International is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Project Manager to join our team working on the groundbreaking NEOM THE LINE project. This role focuses on the critical management of Common Asset Design Consultants (CADCs) who are developing templates and guideline designs for essential common assets that will integrate seamlessly into the neighborhoods within THE LINE. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the commercial and contractual delivery of multiple assigned CADCs, providing comprehensive reporting to the central Project Management Office (PMO), and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. This position requires a seasoned professional capable of "hitting the ground running" with minimal oversight, demonstrating exceptional project management expertise and leadership.
Responsibilities:
Consultant Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned CADCs, fostering collaborative and productive working relationships.
Oversee the day-to-day management of consultant activities, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
Monitor consultant performance against contractual obligations, ensuring quality deliverables and timely submissions.
Commercial and Contractual Management:
Manage the commercial aspects of consultant contracts, including invoicing, payments, and change order management.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, resolving any contractual disputes or discrepancies.
Develop and maintain accurate project budgets and forecasts, tracking expenditures and identifying cost variances.
Project Delivery and Reporting:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines.
Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any deviations from planned schedules.
Prepare and present comprehensive project reports to the central PMO, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all project activities.
Coordinate the flow of information between the CADC's and the relevant NEOM stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including NEOM representatives, CADCs, and other project team members.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and objectives.
Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide project updates and address any concerns.
NEOM Travel:
Conduct periodic site visits to NEOM, Saudi Arabia, as required (estimated less than bi-monthly), to monitor project progress and engage with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience:
Extensive years of progressive experience in project management, ideally within large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing design consultants and delivering complex projects.
Strong understanding of commercial and contractual management principles.
Experience working on projects in the Middle East is highly desirable.
