Robert Half Medical Records Clerk in Tacoma, Washington
Description We are in search of a Medical Records Clerk to become part of our well-established healthcare team, located in Tacoma, Washington, 98402, United States. The role entails handling confidential patient records, managing medical documents, and assisting patients in a physical workplace. This opportunity offers short term contract employment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage confidential patient records with utmost precision and professionalism
• Take charge of incoming faxes and ensure they are sorted and filed appropriately
• Oversee the process of scanning lab results, x-ray reports, and test results into patient medical records after they have been reviewed by the provider
• Facilitate the scanning of documents into charts and import them into the NextGen electronic medical record system
• Serve as a point of contact for patient inquiries and assist them in filling out the Release of Information (ROI) form
• Comply with HIPAA guidelines when copying and releasing records
• Handle faxing of prescriptions and record requests, primarily involving computer work
• Undergo training and provide assistance to multiple clinics as required. Requirements • Proficiency in Epic Software is essential
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is required
• Demonstrated ability to work with EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
• Experience with EMR - Electronic Medical Records is a plus
• Knowledge of NextGen software is needed
• Previous experience handling Medical Records is mandatory
• Capability to manage and maintain Patient Medical Records is necessary TalentMatch®
