Aerotek Travel Aluminum Welder in Tacoma, Washington

Travel Welder - $1050 per diem each week

Site location: Vancouver, Washington

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel Welder with strong experience in aluminum welding. The successful candidate must be able to describe their experience and pass a weld test. This role involves welding and fabricating on various structures, both in and out of position. MIG welding experience is required, and pulse arc experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and fabricating tasks according to specific instructions.

  • Weld and fabricate on various structures, ensuring high quality and precision.

  • Work with aluminum and other materials as required.

  • Operate MIG welding equipment and, preferably, pulse arc welding equipment.

  • Read and interpret blueprints to complete welding projects.

  • Conduct welding in multiple positions as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in aluminum welding.

  • Proficiency in MIG welding.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Capability to pass fracture tested weld tests.

  • Experience with pulse arc welding is preferred.

  • Skill in fabricating, fitting, and grinding.

  • Proficiency in using tape measures and other measuring tools.

Work Environment

You will be working in a large-scale manufacturing facility that produces structural steel and aluminum parts for government projects, including bridges, dams, nuclear sites, boats, and barges. The work environment is clean and primarily involves working with aluminum. Safety gear such as steel-toed boots and safety glasses is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
