This position offers the candidate the opportunity to be part of a dynamic business development team.  We are seeking an engaged and experienced sales / relationship management professional to serve our client’s investment needs.

Job Description

Job Purpose/Background

Reporting to the Head of Taiwan Institution Client Business, he/she will work closely with APAC Institution Client Business teams including Official Institutions Group, Financial institutions Group, and Insurance solutions to develop Taiwan Institutional client business.

Responsibilities

  • Own, develop and maintainclient relationships with Taiwan institutional clients.

  • Devise and execute business development strategies within Taiwan institutional business, engaging in senior level dialogue to position BlackRock’s platform in the market

  • Scope out industry landscape, proactively and independently approach prospect clients, originate and monetize business opportunities.

  • In partnership with relevant stakeholders, present and provide subject matter expertiseat client seminars and roadshows etc.; facilitate client’s portfolios and investments service requirements.

  • Take lead in fostering best practice in client management, in partnership with Client Business team and affiliated groups to manage client’s queries and unique demands.

  • Liaise with internal product teams to develop solutions

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage client’s trade life cycle, including Client Servicing, Onboarding, Legal & Compliance, Contracting, Product Strategists, Reporting, Billing and any other relevant teams for client delivery.

  • Prepare sales materials for key client sales pitch.

  • Regularly monitor mandates with portfolio performance at risk and propose defense strategies and follow up with clients proactively.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

  • At least 10 to 15 relevant years of experience, preferably in a high quality, multi-product investment or asset management firm.

  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, ability to build influential relationships both internally and externally.

  • Ability to resolve challenging situations, exercise sensible judgment and handle complex client requirements independently.

  • Client-focused, detail-oriented, mature, confident, self-motivated.

  • Local securities license is required. CFA license preferred

  • Computer proficiency in English & Chinese character input; proficiency in Morningstar (preferred) and Bloomberg terminal (preferred) applications. 

  • Languageproficiency in both written and spoken Englishrequired
