Job Responsibility

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the EHS management system for the construction project site in Taiwan, ensuring compliance with GE Gas Power and Taiwan regulations;

  • Support the EHS Manager in monitoring and reporting on EHS performance, including the development and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs);

  • Support the region database management for the Asia Pole for accurate reporting through GE digital systems such as Gensuite, ComplyWorks, etc;

  • Maintain accurate EHS records and ensure that all including required permits and licenses are in place and up to date at Taipei HQ;

  • Provide EHS support to the project team, including incident management, investigation, and reporting, as well as emergency response planning and execution at Taipei HQ;

  • Occasionally, be involved with EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments of the project site to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks;

  • Support in developing EHS trainings and awareness programs for project team members, including contractors and subcontractors, to ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures;

  • Participate in the development and review of EHS policies and procedures, and recommend improvements to existing processes to ensure continuous improvement in EHS performance.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including those specific to Taiwan, is preferred.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate and work in English and Chinese.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to attend to office 3 days per week at least throughout the internship program

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
