Tava Health Credentialing Specialist (Remote) in Tampa, Florida

As our clinical network continues to rapidly expand, so does our need to bring on a Credentialing Specialist. This person will help to supervise the credentialing of our existing and incoming clinicians. They will also have the opportunity to inform Tava's policies and procedures and make a lasting impact on the strategy of the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and maintain current and accurate data for all providers in our network.

  • Complete provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications and follow-up as needed.

  • Maintain copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates (if applicable), malpractice coverage, and other required credentialing documents.

  • Be an in-house expert on both NCQA and health plan requirements for credentialing providers and maintaining delegated credentialing status.

  • Ensure all addresses are current with health plans and other entities.

  • Obtain and verify primary source verification from National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB).

  • Perform exclusion screenings on providers with SAM, OIG, OFAC, CMS Opt-out, and state agencies.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and policies.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all provider and credentialing related information.

  • Assist with commercial payer and Medicaid enrollments

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • A minimum of 2 years of credentialing experience, preferred

  • A minimum of 2 years medical practice business office, preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree; preferred

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Able to work independently and focus for extended periods of time

  • Computer literate with proficiency in web-based products and ability to learn new applications easily

  • Experience working remotely; preferred
