We are looking for a Full-Time Program Coordinator to join the UTHealth School of Public Health in Houston, TX. This position will support the Fleming Center and the UTHealth Houston Institute on Aging "Institute." This position will provide administrative support, project coordination, research support, some budgetary assistance, program development, and implementation. You will also provide overall program design and execution in the Fleming Center to achieve assigned goals and objectives.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinates, develops, implements, and evaluates the strategic management/planning of theFleming Center.

  • Participates in all phases of assigned program coordination and in research related activities,including assessing needs for program aims, targets and goals.

  • Provide administrative support and coordination to the UTHealth Houston Institute on Aging

  • Completes travel, reimbursements, organizes conferences and schedules meetings.

  • Uses program tools to collect program data; writes program reports and support activities for theFleming Center and the Institute; in addition, to some budgetary work.

  • Interacts with many different types of stakeholders from different schools and institutions in order tocollaborate and facilitate programs.

  • Monitors implementation of program policies and practices.

  • Works to keep programs on schedule, within stated budgets and functioning smoothly.

  • Support program growth, development as necessary; in addition, to database management anddata entry projects.

  • Ensures that plans and protocols are followed to ensure compliance with all federal, state laws andUTHSC-H policies, rules and regulations.

  • works with marketing team to advance programs for Institute and Fleming Center.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

  • Knowledge of MS Office, SPSS or statistics software applications.

  • Bilingual in Spanish may be preferred.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in lieu of education.

Minimum Experience :

  • Three years of related experience.

  • May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

Security Sensitive:

This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215

Residency Requirement:

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
