Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer

US Remote

The Business Intelligence team is central to Chegg\'s data delivery and reporting initiatives. We are data and reporting experts who support analytics and every business line and the functional business unit at Chegg with their data and report needs. We also deliver near real-time dashboards to Chegg\'s key executives. We are committed to delivering quality products within the agreed SLAs. The Role: Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst, BI

We\'re looking for a highly motivated individual who can tackle a high visibility role. As a member of the team, you will collaborate with Analytics to deliver key dashboards to Chegg\'s executives and business unit leaders. You also will help your team understand data needs and collaborate with the Data Solutions and Data Engineering teams to evolve Chegg\'s data strategy.

You are a self-starter with very strong reporting skills, ETL skills, and attention to detail. Proven track record in compiling data into comprehensive reports, demonstrating the ability to build near real-time executive dashboards and make impactful recommendations based on feedback.

You are willing to question the validity and accuracy of data and are equally motivated to identify and solve the challenges that come with financial data, big data collection, and business complexity.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain institutionalized dashboards for the business and executives, with the opportunity to innovate and improve existing dashboards and metrics
  • Work with our leadership and Analytics to understand business requirements, build data extracts, reports and become a trusted partner
  • Work with near real-time data (15 min)
  • Work with Data Engineering to integrate data in Chegg Data warehouse
  • Collaborate in an on/offshore model (India)
  • Support reporting and data issues when they arise, as per the team\'s on-call assignments and report SLAs.
  • Participate in data reliability, efficiency, and data quality efforts.
  • Creating business and data flow documentation

Requirements:

  • Driven and passionate about data with a B.S or M.S. with 5+ years\' experience as a data analyst or business intelligence developer in the SAAS environment
  • Strong communication skills, analytical skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Expert in SQL, Python, and comfortable using data visualization tools such as Domo, Looker, Tableau, Etc.
  • Expert working knowledge of ETL tools, Redshift, Athena, Spark, and Data Lakes
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Willingness to question the validity and accuracy of data, and equally motivated to identify and solve the challenges that come with big data collection and analysis

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in SAAS product organization and EdTech sectors
  • Experience working in on/offshore model
  • Experience working with integrating acquisitions
  • Ability to take ow ership and drive results with minimal guidance

The pay range for this position is \$79,200 - \$231,000.The actual pay will vary based on geographic location, job requirements, professional experience, and other factors.
