Ministry Support (Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries) Medication Technician in Topton, Pennsylvania

Category/Shift/Hours per 2 week pay period: Full-Time / Evening Shift / 80 scheduled hours per pay period

General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting residents with their daily personal needs such as, bathing, grooming, and dressing, etc.  
  • Administers medication within Diakon policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Delivers excellent customer service to the residents and their family members.
  • Documents vital signs including blood pressure, temperature respiration and weight checks and other pertinent information in the resident's electronic health record.

Education/Training: A high school diploma, GED, or active registry status on the state nurse aide registry required. Successful completion of Pennsylvania Personal Care DPW Medication Administration Course/ Maryland Assisted Living Medication Administration course.  

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in related positions preferred.  

ADA: Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
