AON Associate Account Executive – Programs Group / Affinity in Toronto, Ontario

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Toronto office at 20 Bay Street.

What the day will look like

  • Developing knowledge of client operations and risk exposures.

  • Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls for new and existing business and provide ongoing service support to clients

  • Responding to client and advisor inquiries either by telephone or by email

  • Receiving and processing client requests and reviewing documentation for routine policy changes, additions, deletions, renewals or cancellations within service level standards.

  • Where required, managing renewal process, including preparing the renewal documents, presenting to client for approval, obtaining the binding order, and reviewing policy documentation and delivering to client in a timely manner.

  • Providing direction when a claim is reported or inquired upon

  • Cross-selling and expanding the existing insurance programs with our clients; developing and managing client relationships in order to increase penetration sales and cultivate new business opportunities.

  • Following up for renewal information with advisors and clients

  • Reviewing application information and referring to Insurers where appropriate

  • Ensuring understanding of all Aon Facilities, including wordings, endorsements, limits, etc.

  • Entering client and insurer information in an accurate and timely manner

  • Creating daily/monthly premium invoicing where required

  • Bringing up, as required, complex/difficult customer complaints or inquiries to the appropriate team leader

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • RIBO licensed, or equivalent

  • 1-3 years insurance experience

  • French / English bilingualism preferred due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally

  • CIP, FCIP & CRM desirable

  • Knowledge of all areas of general insurance coverage

  • General Knowledge of Professional lines as asset

  • Customer service orientated including presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Analytical, mathematical, decision making and negotiating skills

  • Proficient computer skills in : MS Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook

  • Committed team player
