Job Description:

Global Transaction Banking ("GTB") is comprised of four business lines: Treasury Solutions Corporates and Financial Institutions, Global Trade Finance and Export Agency Finance. Support functions include: Credit Structuring, Product Strategy and Innovation, Business Intelligence and Business Risk / Control.

GTB is a key growth business within TDS offering innovative solutions and treasury advisory services on large and complex liquidity, payments, and trade needs. Over the last decade, we have seen unprecedented levels of innovation within our industry which GTB continually adapts to meet our client's needs. GTB is highly integrated within TDS and TD Bank Financial Group and works in close partnership with Risk, Operations, Legal, GAML, and Treasury and Balance Sheet Management.

Treasury Solutions provides treasury management products to Canadian public companies, the subsidiaries of global multi-nationals and Financial Institutions. Treasury management consists of the collection, disbursement and management of money, and the related information technology required to implement this. Treasury Solutions provides the linkages between these large Corporate, Financial Institution clients and the global payments system, through a variety of technology-based products, supported by high caliber sales and execution personnel. Each client typically receives a bespoke solution that allows their systems to connect with those of TD, to facilitate money movement on an automated basis. We have teams throughout Canada and the U.S. and call on clients around the world.

Job Description

The Vice President – Treasury and Cash Management Advisory Solutions role is a key contributor to GTB's Client and Product Management team supporting the Corporate Client origination team for any cash management product/ solution related requirement working closely with his/ her reporting manager.

Specific responsibilities will include :

  • Lead end to end delivery of critical migration projects as the business representative working closely with various key stakeholders

  • Communicate directly with clients, prepare client communication and lead client training efforts to effectively manage large scale change due to channel migration

  • Developing migration strategy basis business requirements and recommending best approach to manage the change

  • Project manage critical timelines and tasks for all responsible parties including client, origination team, support teams, technology owners, marketing, legal and product team.

  • Support key migration decisions with detailed data analytics working closely with technical, product and data owners

  • Work closely with Corporate cash management origination teams on key client product requirements

  • Organize well documented, easy to understand business requirements broken down from high to low level requirements understandable by technology partners

  • Support with prioritizing key deliverables by organizing the work packages appropriately and navigating internally to ensure execution of key tasks

  • Develop & maintain up-to-date internal support materials such as technical product documentation, updated RFP responses, decks for sales teams and sales support materials

  • Define problem statement (what is the client problem that this product or feature will solve and what are benefits to the client)

  • Work with Originations/Sales/RM teams to define longer term go-to-market and sales strategy: identify potential segments/clients, how will this be sold, how does it benefit clients

  • Effectively build internal relationships with other key stakeholder groups such as technology, project governance, compliance, legal, Operations, marketing and other teams within TD enterprise

  • Manage internal and external client expectations in terms of product development and delivery roadmap working closely with origination team

  • Perform active and on-going product management throughout the life curve of a product (growth, maturity and decline stages)

  • Act as Product Owner (PO) in agile product development pod(s) as required

  • Gather market requirements and industry trends to support the business requirements

  • Stay up to date on new market offerings, competitor offering, industry changes

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree and 10 years of relevant work experience preferably in Corporate Cash Management/ Treasury

  • Relevant recent experience of successfully delivering on medium to large scale change management/ migration projects preferably in banking/ financial services will be an asset

  • Strong communication and presentation skills for audiences at all levels internally and externally with clients

  • Proactive, results-oriented with positive track record of getting things across the finish line

  • Highly detailed with a sense of responsibility

  • Client focused; Good to have corporate/ Commercial client facing experience in banking sales or financial services industry

  • In-depth knowledge of cash management/ treasury product landscape across liquidity, payments, receivables and delivery channels

  • Familiarity with treasury management and/or ERP systems such as Kyriba, SAP and NetSuite used by corporate clients for payments, reconciliation and other accounting needs

  • Relevant recent experience working in large scale agile design/delivery pod within financial services industry or willingness to learn/ adapt;

  • Hands-on experience with drafting product capability road maps, business process flows, user stories etc.

  • Comfortable or ability to quickly learn working with technical tools such as JIRA and Confluence;

  • Positive attitude with an insatiable desire to learn

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguous or unclear situations

  • Work effectively with diverse teams
