Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. This individual will work closely with application teams to implement project-specific tasks, maintain existing databases, and perform regular maintenance tasks. The role also involves participation in disaster recovery (DR) activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with data architects, developers, and stakeholders to design data models (Conceptual Data Model, Logical Data Model, Physical Data Model) and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships.
Create and modify data models using data modeling tools.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly database maintenance tasks.
Engage in disaster recovery activities to ensure data integrity and availability.
Support application teams by providing extensive application support.
Maintain a high-level understanding of IT infrastructure planning and development.
Ensure compliance with data privacy practices and laws.
2 days onsite, 3 days remote
Requirements
What Will This Person Be Working On: As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator, you will work closely with application teams to implement project-specific tasks, maintain existing databases, and perform regular maintenance tasks, including disaster recovery activities.
Requirements:
7-10 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
2-4 years of experience working on large-scale projects, with knowledge of cloud computing concepts, virtualization, and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) platforms.
Must have RAC (Real Application Clusters) clustering knowledge.
1-2 years of experience handling SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) related requests.
Strong technical knowledge of Oracle database administration, architecture/design, data analysis, and management.
Proficiency with current Oracle database systems and versions, including other DB tools (e.g., Toad), utilities, and Active Directory.
Extensive application support experience working with application teams.
High-level understanding of IT infrastructure planning and development.
Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Good understanding of project management skills.
IT knowledge in the automotive industry is preferred.
