Medical Technician

The Rescue Mission of Trenton is seeking aMedical Technicianfor our Behavioral Health Unit. Med Tech will monitor medication and coordinate all medical concerns of the behavioral health residents with the Director of Nursing. What it’s like to work at the Rescue Mission of Trenton: Rescue Mission of Trenton was founded in 1915 and is a non-profit organization that helps rescue people from themselves and their situations. Our dedicated staff in the Shelter and our Behavioral Health Unit offer care, support and encouragement to all that reside here. We value dignity, communication and helping each of our clients reach their full potential. Clientsresidents are assisted by staff with treatment options, medical help, job placement, financial planning, education, counseling and mental health treatment. Our staff works diligently with the clients to get ID, an income and the things necessary to help them with transitioning to housing. Qualifications for Position: Knowledge of medical terminology High School Diploma or Equivalent & Medical Assistant Program Completion Comfortable in an office setting or clinic Precise writing skills, communication, and organizational skills is a must Must be comfortable using personal computers, printers, copier and software applications Spanish speaking is a plus. A valid driver’s license Attention to details Position Details:

  • Comfortable working with clients with co-occurring disorders

  • Attentive to clients self-administered medication

  • Time management

  • Oversees urinalysis collection and process

  • Assist with Telemedicine or Telehealth Processes

  • Ensuring Client timely arrival

  • Setting up Room and Equipment

  • Troubleshooting Technical Issues

  • Checking vitals if applicable

  • Critical thinking in emergency situations

  • Complete documentation for clients’ file

  • Maintain a good professional relationship with all BH Staff and outside agencies

  • Participate in meetings and trainings

  • Administrative duties as per unit demand

    Pay Range : $17.00 - $19.00 an hour (depending upon qualifications)

    Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday: 2p-10p Sunday - Thursday: 5:45a - 1:45p

Covid-19

Rescue Mission of Trenton requires all new employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start of employment, unless the Rescue Mission of Trenton has granted the employee a medical or religious exemption. Employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment provide proof they have received a booster upon eligibility and upload proof of same. Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in recession of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
