Description We are seeking a Data Entry Clerk for a construction/contractor industry role located in Troy, Michigan. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity where you will be primarily responsible for transferring data from an old system to Oracle, researching parts online for detailed descriptions, and communicating with suppliers for accurate information.
Responsibilities include:
• Transferring data from an old system to Oracle with attention to detail
• Writing new part descriptions in detail for identification in the database
• Conducting online research to find comprehensive names and descriptions of parts
• Contacting suppliers to ensure their information is accurate in the system
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel and VLOOKUP for efficient data management
• Applying strong data entry skills and internet searching abilities to accomplish tasks effectively. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Data Entry Clerk role or similar
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to perform accurate internet searching for data collection purposes
• Familiarity with the construction/contractor industry would be beneficial
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
