Surgical Tech CVOR

40 hours weekly + Call

$15,000 Sign on Bonus for qualified Scrub Techs!!!

$10,000 for Student Loan Repayments

Full Time position working in the Main OR at Northwest Medical Center supporting the Cardiac ( Heart Team ) As a Scrub Tech at Northwest Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients.

Requirements:

Two years with strong cardiac base and one year Cath Lab experience.

Completion of accredited Surgical Technician program

-OR- 2 years of on-the-job training

-OR- 7 years of experience working in the field

-OR- Military training program with 2 years surgical tech experience

Licenses/Certifications: "Required: BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) "

About the Job:

  • Performs complex, invasive cardiac, interventional radiology, vascular and EP procedures in the role of scrub tech, recording/monitoring tech, and circulator tech. Is a part of a specialized health care team collaborating to provide invasive diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures.

  • Assists in the care of the surgical patient applying principles of asepsis to perform scrub duties and related activities for surgical procedures

  • Arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operations and passing items to doctors and nurses as needed

  • Assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating theater.

Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
