TURNERS FALLS Maintenance Mechanic Job Characteristics Repair and Maintenance of Injection Molding Machines, Trowel Machines, Baggers, Robots and Grinders and other company equipment. Inspect, repair, or replace components of machines such as screws, barrels, pistons, etc. Cleaning Equipment and robots. Remove plastic residue, and identifying, repairing, or replacing broken parts Install new machines, which include leveling, installing the tower water and compressed air. Modifications with equipment to make sure it is safe for all to use Utilize preventative maintenance program to maintain and prevent failure of equipment Assisting with general facility Maintenance Disinfect working area daily Assure all health and safety requirements are observed and maintain the work area in a neat and organized condition. The ability to handle day-to-day and strategic issues, operational requirements, and support of a manufacturing facility Achieving maintenance goals, and work completion to ensure manufacturing targets are continually achieved. Required Skills Strong technical, engineering and manufacturing background Ability to address day to day issues, and operational requirements Ability to read Blueprints and technical manuals Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Adobe Statistical and data analysis techniques Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization Close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Written and verbal English communication skills Able to work with a team to accomplish company goals Willingness to keep and maintain a clean and safe work environment Ability to safely operate forklifts Ability to safely operate scissor Lift Adherence to attendance policy Adherence to cell phone policy Required Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Skills Three years\' experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a molding facility Power Industrial Truck License (1D) for forklift use a plus Valid driver\'s license a plus Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasional Weekends may be needed.
