Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly Reports to: COOK
?This position is considered Seasonal Full-Time, with an approximate start date in April and running through December, including some downtime during the off-peak period.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)
- Assist in preparation and cooking meals in compliance with the 6-week cycle menu and other applicable local, state, and federal standards.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with food preparation and applicable sanitation standards and state regulations.
- Assist in maintaining all food item receipts, menu production records and meal counts.
- Knowledge and ability to safely operate kitchen and food preparation equipment and tools.
- Assist with local food purchases.
- Assist in maintaining and ensuring adequate inventory of kitchen supplies, food, and equipment.
- Ability to measure ingredients, follow recipes, and perform basic mathematical functions.
- Follow dietary guidelines and individualized meal plans.
- Assist with food delivery to classrooms.
- Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records
- Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Must obtain Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire.
- Current drivers license and proof of auto insurance
- Must pass physical examination and background checks, including state day care clearance.
- Must obtain clearance of Tuberculosis.
- Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification.
Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting.
- One to three months with related experience or training
- Basic computer skills
Required Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl; to reach with hands and arms; to climb or balance; and smell.
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical shock, and fumes or airborne particles; exposed to hazards of traffic; the noise level is usually moderate.
