Job Title: Chemical Mixer ($20-24/hr.+) 1st shift

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Chemical Mixer to join our team. This position involves working on the 1st shift, but training will be required on the 2nd and 3rd shifts for a few months.

Responsibilities

• Meet with 2nd shift foreman to review daily tasks

• Train in different areas of the plant on various production procedures

• Follow work instructions for mixing pigments for paint

• Wear a respirator during mixing operations

• Lift bags weighing 50-60 lbs to load into a blender

• Follow batch tickets with specified weights and procedures

• Learn to operate a paint kettle, pigment reactor, and grinding machine

• Load bulk weigh stations

• Utilize a computer to read SOPs and mixing procedures

• Perform basic math calculations for batch weights

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 60 lbs

• Capability to wear a respirator

• Experience in chemical mixing, paint mixing, or chemical compounding

• Experience with batch mixing and using batch tickets

• Basic math skills for weight calculations

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must own steel toe boots

• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience

• Experience reading standard operating procedures

• Previous experience in chemical mixing/compounding is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr.
