MCFARLAND WHITE RANCH General Farmworker in TWO DOT, Montana
Temporary full time from 4/20/2025 - 2/20/2026 Cropping specialist. Auto steer. Equipment repair and maintenance. Data management. Fertilizer and yield tracking. Nutritional sampling. Mapping software and yield Excel. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; clean work areas; construct facilities; direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting; feel plants/crops leaves and note coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease; guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines; identify plants, crops, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers; inform farm managers of plants or crops progress; maintain grounds and landscaping; maintain inventory; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; record information about crops; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, bailers and other hay equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, irrigation equipment, manure spreading equipment, self-propelled machinery, skid steers, sprayers, straight frame trucks, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: hay, silage. Must speak and understand English. One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
