Job requirements:
The Application Engineer is responsible for delivering timely, qualified engineering proposals to internal and external customers. This position responds to the engineering and technical needs of sales, procurement, and customers. The position requires a knowledge of existing and new-product applications in the Air Pollution Control (APC). This role is design oriented and utilizes sound engineering principles to recommend all warranty and performance guarantees.
Key Responsibilities
Support Industrial Filtration growth consistent with Alkegen’s strategic plan.
Assist engineering advances in both product form and application to innovate our marketing efforts.
Evaluate competitive design.
Provide technical support, product information, and application recommendations to sales force and customer base
Write detailed technical proposals for customers
Owns the performance guarantee process, approving/signing product warranties.
Work cross-functionally with teams including Customer Service, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, New Product Development and R&D.
Represent the company as the technical expert at industry standard meetings, conferences, site supervision, and tradeshows.
Qualifications & Experience
Ideally 5 years+ of relevant experience in Industrial Air Filtration
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical and application knowledge of APC markets
Technical and application knowledge of catalysis preferred
Technical and application knowledge of ceramic candle filtration preferred
Experience selecting and proposing filter material for best performance
Engineering design experience
Proven experience offering creative, quality solutions to complex issues
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Requirements
Ability to travel up to 30%
Based in vicinity of one of the following. Fulda/Frankfurt – Germany, Derby – UK, Stoke – UK, Alderley Park – UK, Widnes – UK, North Augusta – SC, USA, Buffalo- NY, USA, Rochester – NH, USA, Dallas – TX, USA, Vinhedo – Brazil, Pune - India
Ability to converse fluently in English and write technical reports in English
