Food Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor

PAY - 120,000 to 128,000 yearly

Description:

Summary Impact Statement

Supervise the facilities & equipment maintenance teams in our food manufacturing plant. This position will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our facility infrastructure, equipment, and systems while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. And supervising a team of skilled maintenance technicians and overseeing the maintenance and repair of automated equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity

Primary Responsibilities:

1) Supervision and Leadership:

• Supervise, mentor, and provide leadership to a team of Maintenance & Facility technicians.

• Train maintenance staff on proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

• Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the team.

• Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and develop solutions to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.

• Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all automation equipment, including mixers, fillers, conveyors, packaging machines, and more.

2) Preventive Maintenance & Facilities Upkeep:

• Develop and implement a robust preventive maintenance program for facility and production equipment with Maintenance Planner through a CMMS.

• Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and documentation.

• Identify and address potential maintenance issues proactively.

• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify and address potential issues proactively.

3) Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensures that safety is given top priority in work execution, including Arc/Shock Hazard safety, confined spaces, lockdowns, Hazardous materials, hard tools safety, etc.

• Understands and applies safety practices, and works to develop a basic understanding of OSHA

• Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other relevant regulations to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.

4) Continuous Improvement:

• Perform Root Cause Analysis on reoccurring issues.

• Collaborate with the engineering team to plan and execute upgrades and modifications to automation equipment for improved efficiency and reliability.

5) Performs other duties as required
