JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Kinesiology (http://hhd.psu.edu/kines/) at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking an Assistant Research Professor with expertise in the area of exercise psychology for an exciting opportunity to establish a funded program of innovative research that focuses on topics such as maternal obesity, healthy behaviors (e.g., physical activity, sleep, energy intake), as well as psychological well-being and related behaviors. Expectations are that the successful candidate will develop and continue a funded and focused line of high-quality research (including data collection, analyses, publications, and presentations), that is extramurally supported. We seek an energetic, creative, and collaborative colleague who is passionate about their work and has the potential to build collaborations within and between the College of Health and Human Development and others, both internal and external to Penn State.

Education and Experience Requirements The successful candidate should possess a PhD in Kinesiology or a doctoral degree in a related field by the appointment start date.

Preference will be given to individuals who have a focused line of research in study protocols delivered to women during pregnancy and postpartum, and that utilize multimodal approaches including in-person, at-home, remote/telehealth, and online data collection procedures.
