What you’ll do:

Job Summary

This professional will collaborate closely with to Materials, Logistics, SCM, Finance and Global GTM teams, serving as a focal point and representative of Eaton on all matters related to trade compliance in internal and externa fóruns. This includes a wide range of topics such as: import and export legal requirements, legal summons, duty exemption programs, free trade agreements, AEO-C, AEO-S, RECOF. The individual in this role is responsible for ensuring high-level performance in leading these subjects within the 8 business units in the organization, with the aim of maximizing duty savings while upholding Eaton's reputation as a ethical and compliant company.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across eight business units (Mobility and Electrical Sectors), representing Eaton before the Receita Federal do Brasil and other entities;

• Develop procedures and monitoring tools to ensure compliance in over 9,000 annual import and export transactions, maintaining regular updates for over 10,000 part numbers in the government master data (Product Catalog - Single Window);

• Lead Duty Minimization Programs and Projects such as Drawback and Ex-tariff for both direct and indirect products, coordinating projects and internal training to increase awareness and maximize duty savings for the businesses;

• Monitor governmental changes and public consultations, maintaining close communication with entities like CIESP, FIESP, Sindipeças, A.E.R. to actively track changes in import and export legislation, validating the roadmap for system and internal procedure adjustments in a timely manner with the IT Team, GTM members, and service providers;

• Conduct monthly performance meetings with service providers, actively monitoring key performance indicators and the progress of corrective or continuous improvement action plans;

• Evaluate and implement new service providers when necessary, defining SOPs (Standard Operational Procedures) and SLAs (Service Level Agreements) with performance targets for brokers and consultants aligned with Eaton’s business unit goals and compliance policies;

• Lead more than 300 action plans annually to maintain OEA-C and OEA-S certification, organizing committees, following up on continuous improvement plans, contracting or conducting training, performing internal audits, and monitoring the program’s indicators;

• Issue financial reports and respond to subpoena in a timely manner, involving cross-functional areas when necessary;

• Manage and maintain active Eaton’s license for import & export operations (RADAR), as well as licenses in special regimes such as Tariff exemption for Autoparts and Agriculture Regime;

• Monitore the Landed Cost index for all imports, sharing indicators and suggesting action plans to the organization.

• Collaborate with Global GTM on demands such as Cost out & Cost avoidance reports, Peer Audit Review and Risk-Assessment to monitor compliance risks in the region, determining the audit schedule and roadmap, collecting and analyzing data, and sharing metrics monthly."

Qualifications:

Education level required

  • Degree in Foreing Trade, Economics, Administration or related areas.

  • Fluent English and advanced Spanish.

Experience required

  • Experience in one or more areas: Comex, International Logistics, Supply Chain, Customs Consulting, Finance (with tax and taxation topics).

This professional must have solid skills and background in:

  • Import and export legislation and operational procedures;

  • Incoterms, HTS, FTA, Ex-tariff, AEO, Drawback and RECOF

  • International logistics;

  • Materials Planning, Order Management and Finance;

  • Advanced skills in Excel, Power Point and Power BI

Previous experience with OSGT system is a plus.
