Ohio State Job Bank Maintenance Technician in Valley City, Ohio
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Carrying out repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting work.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment systems with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Assist in the disassembly and assembly of electrical components.
- Fabrications of welded structures, machines, and spare parts with processing machines.
- Assembly of jigs and machines according to drawings, sketches, samples, or instructions.
- Perform welding, cutting, grinding etc. to repair and modify machinery.
- Performs installations and aligns new machinery.
- Repairs existing presses, gear boxes and facility as needed.
- Performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) and work orders as directed.
- Uses proper Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO) and other safety procedures.
- Uses proper procedure when pulling parts form stores.
- Instruct and communicate in a positive manner with operators and set-up personnel.
- Support the proper documentation activities.
- Perform 5s activities.
- Responsible for total quality of products and services and authorized to stop work when a nonconformance is noted.
- Perform assigned quality system functions as specified in QMS procedures.
- Perform other responsibilities as determined by the supervisor.
- Observe established EHS regulations, procedures, and practices.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 2 years mechanical maintenance or similar skills base.

- Use of hand tools
