Job Title: Welder

Job Description

We are currently seeking highly motivated and talented individuals for Welder positions in our Steel and Irrigation Operations division. The selected candidates will be responsible for welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders using brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment. Key responsibilities include fusing metal structural components together by means of arc welding in the fabrication of steel electrical poles, substations, and other structures, maintaining and operating production tooling and fixtures, and performing minor welding machine maintenance.

Skills

  • One month of previous hands-on welding experience

  • Ability to accurately read a measuring tape

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints correctly without assistance

  • AWS welding certification from a recognized school

  • Ability to communicate and interact with coworkers positively

  • High awareness for safety at all times

  • Ability to identify and communicate maintenance or product problems

  • Passion, integrity, and the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results

Environment

The work environment is heavy industrial, requiring jeans, steel toes with metatarsal cover, and shirts. The campus is very large, necessitating driving from building to building in a noisy and at times, dirty industrial setting.
