Description We are offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Staff Accountant position in Van Nuys, California. The successful candidate will be working in the telecom industry, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, maintaining bookkeeping and project detail records, and supporting the finance team in various financial analysis projects.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements
• Maintaining bookkeeping and project detail records
• Conducting account reconciliations
• Processing journal entries
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Supporting the finance team in various financial analysis projects
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Collaborating with other departments to support overall company goals
• Utilizing software such as Oracle, NetSuite, and QuickBooks to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close activities. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Demonstrable experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance and management
• Proficient in recording and managing Journal Entries
• Experience in handling Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge and experience in using NetSuite for accounting tasks
• Familiarity with Oracle accounting software
• Experience in using QuickBooks for various accounting functions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
