Mechanical Assembler
$25/hr, Vancouver, BC
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Assembler where you will be responsible for inspecting incoming 20 ft containers, removing and reinstalling exterior panels, and installing battery stacks into containers. Your day will involve working with various tools to perform electrical and fluid connections, and ensuring all panels are securely torqued. The role requires comfort with overhead cranes, frequent use of platform ladders, and occasional light painting tasks. Prepare for physical activities such as routing and cable management. This position offers a 6-month contract with potential for extension or permanent placement, and requires readiness for shift changes and openness to overtime opportunities.
Skills Requirements:
Recent experience using hand tools such as screwdrivers, Allen keys, torque wrenches, spanners, grinders, crimpers, and cordless drills
2 years of experience in a similar mechanical role
Ability to lift 40lbs
Work Environment
The work schedule is currently Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with potential shifts changes in the future. The environment is collaborative, with a team that supports each other and pitches in wherever needed. The starting pay is $25/hour, with a potential afternoon premium. Dress code includes long pants and safety toe work boots.
