Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up and adjust machines for production within PLC and mechanical parameters. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving quality issues, making mechanical adjustments to equipment, and ensuring smooth product flow.

Responsibilities

  • Set up machines for production within PLC and mechanical parameters.

  • Diagnose and resolve quality issues, identifying the root cause of problems.

  • Make mechanical adjustments to equipment, including conveying systems.

  • Troubleshoot quality issues and make necessary changes to ensure the finished product meets standards.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with mechanical machine operating (e.g., mold press, injection molding, press operating, CNC).

  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with machine operation, maintenance, and adjustments.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the paper and plastic consumables industry is beneficial.

  • Interest or hobbies related to mechanical work.

Work Environment

Our facility produces paper and plastic bags, including both forming and printing processes. You will work in a clean, climate-controlled environment with a dedicated team for each machine. Extensive training is provided to help you master the learning curve required to run the machines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.75 - $24.75/hr.
