Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Ventura, California. This Accounting Specialist role is vital in our team where you will be primarily handling Accounts Payable (AP), Expense Management, and other accounting work. You will also have a chance to perform some clerical administrative tasks as part of our small accounting team.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications as part of the Accounts Payable (AP) function.
• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records.
• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner.
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.
• Manage expense payments as part of the Expense Management function.
• Utilize Excel formulas for efficient data processing and analysis.
• Perform other accounting work as needed.
• Assist in some clerical administrative tasks to support the team.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations and management
• Demonstrated experience in expense management
• Strong knowledge and application of Excel formulas
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
