Position Summary

As a Paralegal within the Employment & Labour Law Competence Centre (ELLCC) , your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive know-how and information to the ELLCC and HR community, reviewing and monitoring new laws and regulations, and providing tailored current awareness bulletins and alerts. You will also serve as a liaison for collecting and publishing internal legal know-how, support in trainings and legal researches on employment and labour law, and manage the ELLCC library of templates and training tools to support the HR community.

A Day in the Life of a Paralegal – Employment & Labour Law

  • Assisting and providing legal and administrative support to legal counsels in the ELLCC

  • Answering enquiries and conducting legal and factual research on employment, labour law, social security, immigration, and insurance law issues

  • Supporting legal counsels on individual matters, legal issues, contracts review and various projects, including legal research and information collection

  • Assisting legal counsels in investigations and litigation cases, including preparing summaries, chronologies, exhibits, and coordinating with HR and external lawyers

  • Drafting and reviewing legal and internal documentation, such as letters, guidelines, contracts, and other relevant documents

  • Preparing and reviewing templates and internal processes relevant to the ELLCC

  • Providing general administrative support, including organizing meetings and trainings, addressing administrative questions, managing invoices, and supporting budget monitoring

What will make you successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in law

  • Several years of experience, preferably gained in a legal department of a multinational company or a law firm with a Swiss background

  • Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Swisslex

  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Sharepoint, Teams, and MS Office applications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure with short deadlines and effectively prioritize tasks

  • Capability to work independently and take initiatives whilst maintaining a flexible approach

  • Fluency in both French and English, with German skills considered an asset
