Actalent Pharmacy Technician in Vinton, Virginia

Job Title: Back-End Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

As a Back-End Pharmacy Technician, your role will be critical in ensuring that all medication needs and regulatory standards are met for our patient. This role provides the opportunity to expand your skills as you will be working in various workstations in our closed-door pharmacy setting. This role requires a State Registered Pharmacy Technician. A nationally certified PTCB Technician is preferred.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations.

  • You may be required to rotate and work in various assigned pharmacy workstations including: Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, Machine Packaging.

  • Receiving product deliveries, pulling and staging products for distribution, rotating stock, coordinating activities with drivers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries, and performing physical inventories of medication.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Vinton, Virginia.

Work Environment

This role requires flexibility in work hours between 8 am and 11 pm. The shifts are not scheduled and may require extended hours on some days to complete the work. The shifts will rotate, including Morning, Mid-Day, and Evening. You may also be required to work every other weekend.
