Job Title: Entry Level CNC Machine Operator
Job Description
We are looking for an entry-level CNC Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn and develop skills in operating CNC machines and cutting equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols, and assisting in meeting production goals. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to perform heavy lifting. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
Maintain a clean and organized work area by adhering to standard operating procedures.
Safely perform routine adjustments to ensure CNC machines and cutting equipment run smoothly.
Execute all assigned tasks efficiently and within the scheduled timeframe.
Consistently follow safe manufacturing practices when operating CNC machinery and cutting tools.
Use computer software to communicate with the CNC machine and input cutting instructions.
Accurately document daily production activities using paper and electronic forms, such as Microsoft Excel.
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise to minimize downtime.
Be flexible and willing to take on other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Perform heavy lifting of 50+ lbs throughout the day to handle materials and products.
Maintain a fast pace while standing for up to 10 hours to meet production demands.
Inspect materials, cut to size, touch up, and join components to ensure quality.
Safely climb ladders as needed to access materials and equipment.
Consistently meet daily production goals to maintain workflow efficiency.
Essential Skills
Ability to read a ruler and pass a ruler test.
Basic math skills to accurately input measurements and calculations into the CNC machine.
Experience in operating production lines, assembly lines, and machine operations.
Proficiency in using tape measures and general production tools.
Competence in computer operation and production documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to work Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2:45 pm, with overtime as needed.
Willingness to work in a small team on a small production floor.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of a small production floor with a small team. The role requires standing for up to 10 hours, performing heavy lifting, and adhering to safety protocols. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2:45 pm, with overtime as needed.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
