The Mission of YIA (Youth in Action): An annual partnership program through St. Louis County that fosters connections between youth and community through engaging service. The Vision of YIA: To create a more unified community through passionate people and human connections. Distinguishing Features of Work: An employee in this class is responsible for the leadership, development, administration and implementation of positive youth programming and building assets for youth. Duties include developing, coordinating, promoting and monitoring youth programs, activities and service learning projects; recruiting and encouraging participation; serving as a liaison to youth, boards and community leaders; preparing budgets and grant applications; directing and monitoring fund-raising activities; and coordinating and monitoring a variety of public relations and communication activities.
