As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

• Assist in ingredient preparation and cooking menu items according to recipes and standards

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and workstations

• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

• Support inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating stock

• Learn and execute various cooking techniques and kitchen operations

• Assist with daily kitchen operations, including prep work, plating, and service

• Participate in menu planning and development

• Provide input on improving culinary processes and guest satisfaction

• Attend and contribute to kitchen meetings and training sessions

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a culinary arts program or related field

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques

• Strong passion for the culinary arts and hospitality industry

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and presentation

• Willingness to learn and take direction

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment, such as internships, part-time jobs, or school projects

• Basic knowledge of different cuisines and cooking styles

• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
