Our Finland locations include Vantaa and Joensuu, employing over 800 professionals supporting functions such as production, instrument and reagent manufacturing, R&D, marketing, sales, quality, administrative support, and supply chain. We hire experts in different fields including engineering, chemistry, microbiology, and bioinformatics. Our Vantaa site develops pipettes and microplate instruments as well as clinical chemistry and industrial chemistry analysers, laboratory automation solutions and food safety kits. It is conveniently located close to the Vantaankoski railway station.

How will you make an impact?

As a UI Designer, you would be a member of our User Experience (UX) team, designing the user interface for a laboratory analyzer.

This is an entry level role, offering various opportunities to grow as a user experience professional. It is a one-year fixed-term position beginning in autumn 2024, and we are flexible with regards to your potential study needs.

What will you do?

  • Make contribution in design system and design UI for laboratory analyzers

  • Drive the user experience as a part of the product development team

  • Perform and report usability assessments

  • Opportunity for expanded responsibilities aligned with your experience and interests

  • Our team consists of enthusiastic user experience professionals including usability and user interface designers and technical writers. We work in multidisciplinary project teams for multiple In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) medical device product lines, designing automation systems and analyzers for clinical laboratories.

This is an office-based role with possibility for some remote work.

How will you get there?

  • A master´s degree student approaching graduation or recently graduated with studies in e.g., interaction design or similar

  • Proven skills in visual design (portfolio)

  • Passion to learn and develop your skills as a design professional

  • Strong skills in leading your own work

  • Effective interpersonal skills and strong communication abilities

  • Good eye for detail

  • Experience in using Figma and Adobe Illustrator
