As clinical data technology lead within our Hyderabad Hub, you’ll be responsible for leading a regionally based database designer team or data management programmer team ensuring that the clinical database design and maintenance activities or data management programming related activities assigned to your team are completed according to agreed data standards, timelines, and quality/performance targets.

Main responsibilities:

  • People: (1) Managing a team of database designers or data management programmers, including performance review and development dialogue. (2) Ensuring the training, mentoring, engagement, development, and recognition of his/her team members to maximize their potential, performance, and overall success. (3) Ensuring the recruitment of newcomers including interview and target talent selection (4) Be in charge of assessing workload to achieve the efficient management of resource.

  • Performance and Delivery: (1) Acting as the data technology team's point of contact for the execution of database design/data management programming for clinical studies / programs assigned to the team. (2) Assisting the Data Technology Head or TA head of Clinical Database Analyst/Data Management programmer with resource optimization based on the portfolio adjustment, team member competencies, and core project milestones. (3) Driving and supporting his/her team planning and clinical data technology related task delivery, eventually achieving operational excellence across the whole data value chain.

  • Process: (1) Ensuring operational consistency, alignment and identifying synergies across assigned studies and programs. (2) Participating in global harmonization and optimization of operational processes and standards and fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Stakeholder: (1) Work closely with study team such as data manager, metadata standards analyst, coder, study medical manager, biostatistician, biostatistical programmer and so on. (2) Maintain effective relationship and leadership within global clinical data technology team and global clinical data management team with an objective to ensure regulatory compliance and reliability of the clinical trial results.

About you

  • Experience : Strong experience in clinical database design/maintenance, data management programming or data management related tasks and related regulations (incl. ICH E6 and E8).

  • Soft and technical skills : Solid risk-based mindset focusing on Quality by Design (QbD) and on what really matters.

  • Learn and adapt quickly when facing new problems. Think critically and use rigorous, objective, and pragmatic methods to solve multidimensional problems with effective and timely solutions.

  • Effective leadership and people management skills. Harness a working environment which encourages teamwork, energy, and creativity.

  • Expertise in Clinical Data Management Systems (e.g. Medidata Rave, etc.)

  • Expertise in programming language such as SAS, R, Python, C# and query language SQL

  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices (e.g. CDISC especially CDASH/SDTM)

  • Education : Bachelor or Master of Science degree or above, preferably in a life science or mathematics-related area (e.g., Pharmaceutical, medical, or mathematics, computer science or similar technical fields).

  • Languages : Strong English skills (verbal and written), ability to exchange fluently in a global environment.
