Your day to day

We are looking for a passionate and charismatic Executive Chef , who will oversee all culinary elements within the hotel to ensure programs, revenue targets and budget goals, are achieved whilst also evaluating team progress and identifying new ideas that will help drive the business and solving problems through strong interpersonal skills and efficient communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the culinary team, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure high standards of food quality and service.

  • Develop and update menus in line with the hotel's concept, seasonal availability, and guest preferences, while also considering sustainability and local sourcing.

  • Oversee food purchasing, inventory management, and cost control measures to optimize profitability while maintaining quality.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and sanitation practices in all kitchen areas.

  • Collaborate with the F&B director and other departments to plan and execute special events, promotions, and catering services.

  • Monitor kitchen operations to maintain efficiency and minimize waste, implementing process improvements as needed.

  • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment, facilities, and storage areas to identify maintenance needs and ensure functionality.

  • Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, creativity, and professional development among kitchen staff.

  • Stay informed about culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients, continuously innovating and refining menu offerings.

  • Represent the hotel in culinary competitions, industry events, and media appearances, showcasing our culinary excellence and innovation.

What we need from you

  • For you to be the ideal candidate, you should have the following:

  • Degree or certificate in culinary arts

  • 5 years’ experience as a chef

  • At least one year in a supervisory capacity, or equivalent combination of education and culinary/kitchen operations experience
