IHG Housekeeping Coordinator in Singapore

Join us as a Housekeeping Coordinator in Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Because, for this vital role, we’re looking for someone who can:

Responsible for attending to the control desk telephone, communication within Housekeeping and between Housekeeping and other departments as well as clerical services of the Housekeeping department for both Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong and Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong.

PEOPLE:

• Maintain and update administrative data

• Maintain filing systems (manual and electronic)

• Prepare all administration documents required by Housekeeping Department

• Maintain and update administrative data, such as purchase orders, inventory and rosters

• Enter room status into computer daily and investigate discrepancies

• Receive and forward information

• Transmit FCS requests via SARA and VServe

• Communicate information to Housekeeping employees

• Arrange training required for all Housekeeping Team, including part-timer and outsourced team members (i.e. IHG Way of Clean, IHG Culture of Clean Implementation)

• Arrange classroom training on IHG Way of clean for non-Housekeeping colleagues.

GUEST EXPERIENCE:

• Attend to calls, emails, faxes requests and enquiries in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS:

• Demonstrate Awareness of Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities (OH&S) policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines

• Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures

• Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly

• Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers

• Support the Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong and Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong’s corporate responsibility initiatives in the areas of community involvement, environment management, workplace health & safety and food safety, drive action plans as required to achieve hotel corporate responsibility objectives

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Monthly checking and submission of the following:

  1. WOT Team Planner scheduling

  2. Times System schedule upload & checking of attendance

  3. Purchase Plus

  4. IHG Way of Clean

  5. IHG Culture of Clean Implementation

  6. Preventive Maintenance Measures

  7. Proper Filing & Documentation

  8. Managing Lost & Found items

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

1 year experience in administration and coordination. Skill of operating Opera PMS, SARA, PowerPoint Presentation, Data Analyst preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.

  • Able to read, write and communicate in English

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills

  • Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
