The Job:

The Senior Supply Planner will lead and manage core supply planning processes and tools for the assigned markets. This role involves identifying and driving improvement projects to achieve cost and operational efficiency.

The Senior Supply Planner will provide leadership teams with medium to long-term views on risks, opportunities, and action plans to mitigate supply risks, maximize availability, and optimize fill rates and days sales of inventory (DSI). Additionally, the role includes predicting demand using supply chain analytics to avoid sales risks, achieve working capital targets, and minimize excess and obsolescence. The Senior Supply Planner will work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, suppliers, distribution centers, transportation, and Demand Planning teams.

This position is based in Stanley Black & Decker’s Singapore office, hybrid working model.

You’ll get to:

  • Lead and Manage Supply Planning : Oversee the assigned market's core supply planning processes and tools. Identify areas for improvement and drive improvement projects using a structured approach and global tools to achieve cost and operational efficiency.

  • Risk and Opportunity Analysis : Analyze and assess medium to long-term scenarios, providing leadership teams with insights on risks, opportunities, and action plans to mitigate supply risks, manage optimum inventory levels, and maintain high service levels.

  • Demand Planning Collaboration : Work closely with the Demand Planning Team to understand and plan supply/inventory to support business objectives.

  • Inventory Management : Effectively and efficiently manage inventory levels within set KPIs, including Inventory, DSI, excess & obsolete, and Unit Fill Rate.

  • Supplier and Factory Coordination : Collaborate with factories and suppliers to improve lead times and supplier performance, ensuring markets are served with optimum inventory at minimal costs.

  • Data Analytics and Tools : Use data analytics and tools like ABC/Threshold Analysis to maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure timely order fulfillment.

  • Global Supplier Management : Manage global suppliers, Global supply management agreement (GSMA), third-party suppliers, factories, and distribution centers to prioritize production/replenishment, manage constraints, and optimize supply/network logistics. Provide recommendations to resolve issues.

  • S&OP Process Participation : Act as a key stakeholder in the S&OP process, working with sales, marketing, supply chain - demand planning, suppliers, and manufacturing for successful new product introductions, product lifecycle management, trends and seasonality, and phase-in/out processes. Avoid stockouts and/or excess and obsolescence.

  • Improvement Projects : Define and implement improvement projects, identifying root causes and driving corrective and preventive actions with cross-functional teams.

  • Order Management : Review and update ETA of inbound purchase orders using ERP/JDA and Excel-based reporting.

  • System Expertise : Be an expert in the JDA supply planning systems to support availability and drive planning efficiency. Own and manage the JDA supply planning system, leveraging IT platforms such as SAP and BW for data-driven decision-making.

  • System Maintenance : Regularly update system settings and maintain planning parameters (MOQ, Lead Time, etc.) for a robust working environment.

  • S&OE Contribution : Contribute to Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) preparation processes.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business management, Supply chain, Logistics or higher education.

  • Experience: 05+ years of demonstrated Inventory Planning/Supply Chain experience.

  • Skills / Personalities:

  • Strong knowledge of SAP and JDA Supply Planning Systems.

  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively and independently in a complex, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong understanding of business operations and strategy.

  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to establish and execute plans/projects to achieve objectives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively across various functions and across regions.

  • Ability to manage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Self-motivated, dependable, and result-oriented.

  • Other requirements: Strong proficiency in MS Office products, especially Microsoft Excel
