Position overview:

The Supply Chain Planner-Cans will balance capacity with demand via the creation of draft capacity plans and the communication and monitoring of the final capacity plan for cans. This role will be working closely with all areas of the business including Manufacturing, Sales, Engineering, Group Quality, Finance, local planners in all manufacturing sites across the region and other areas of the IBP Department and be responsible for resolving issues around finished goods, ensuring that customer demands can be satisfied whilst adhering to the overall business strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating draft monthly, budget and strategic supply and in month in cycle runs plans for cans, for review with the Can Planning Manager by optimising across multiple sets of parameters in a EMEA wide network

  • Implementing and supporting execution of regional inventory targets and support and production parameters and plans

  • Driving execution of and monitoring of inventory, production, support and service levels across EMEA, centrally and in regions as required

  • Working closely with the Regional Fulfilment Managers (indirect reports) and Customer Fulfilment Directors to communicate the plans and support the implementation of plans and ensure they understand the overall planning strategy and execution requirements to support the overall regional plan, whilst taking into account regional feedback as appropriate

  • Working closely with the Planning Team to ensure that capacity and metal plans are aligned

  • Supporting solves/arbitration of operational issues with and across local business units

  • Working with the Can Planning Manager, Logistics team, and Customer Fulfilment teams to identify and implement cost saving improvements to existing production distribution and warehousing profiles

  • Ensuring Can Line load plans are aligned with metal

  • Planning for trials/qualification and proposing new routes as required to optimise plans

  • Proposing, monitoring and controlling Inventory and Service levels to align to the IBP strategy

  • Supporting and controlling big volumes of data directly related to planning to enable creation of optimised plans

What are we looking for?

  • Degree Level Education

  • Deep understanding of supply chain planning processes

  • Experience in a complex multinational, multi-site Supply Chain environment

  • SAP knowledge desirable

  • IBP process understanding

  • Experience in producing data and presentations

  • Fluent in English
