Office of Personnel Management Human Resources Specialist in United States

Summary As a Human Resources Specialist at the GS-0201-14, you will be part of Workforce Policy and Innovation Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and promulgation of government-wide policies, regulations and supplementary guidance on the full range of organizational culture, work-life programs affecting the employee/workforce. Responsibilities Review guidance on Government-wide policy for emerging work/life programs. Identify innovative solutions to Governmentwide concerns and suggestions regarding the implementation of work/life programs Deliver onsite and virtual training/workshops for key agency personnel. Serve as a Strategic Consultant/subject matter expert on work/life programs. Develop policy/guidance and provide technical assistance on comprehensive work/life programs. Collaborate within OPM, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and other regulatory entities, and COIs to facilitate and track improvements in work life programs. Undertake special emphasis evaluations as needed and continually promotes the effectiveness of agencies' work life programs and organizational development. (BU Code - 7777) Qualifications For the GS14: You must have one year of specialized experience which is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service (obtained in either the private or public sector) which demonstrates experience with: 1) researching and analyzing information to develop or refine guidance, standards or policies in support of Employee WorkLife and Wellness Programs 2) providing advice to employees and supervisors on the implementation of work/life policies or programs; 3) creating resource materials for work/life and wellness programs. Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS 14 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
