POSITION OVERVIEW (Job Summary):
We are looking for a skilled MIG Welder specialized in welding parts for food processing equipment to join our team. The MIG Welder will be responsible for welding stainless steel and other food-grade materials to construct and repair components used in the food processing industry. This role requires precision welding to maintain the integrity and cleanliness standards required for food handling equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements.
Select proper materials and welding techniques suitable for food-grade applications.
Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to weld components with precision.
Ensure the quality and integrity of welds meet food safety standards.
Perform weld inspections and quality checks to verify adherence to specifications.
Maintain a clean work environment to prevent contamination of food-grade materials.
Collaborate with engineers and production team members to meet project deadlines.
Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proven experience as a MIG Welder, with a focus on welding parts for food processing equipment.
Expertise in welding stainless steel and other food-grade materials.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications for food-grade welding.
Knowledge of food safety standards and cleanliness requirements for food processing equipment.
Precision in welding to achieve high-quality and sanitary welds.
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
Desirable
Certification in welding and familiarity with food processing regulations is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
As a MIG Welder working with food processing equipment, there are certain physical requirements that you will need to meet to effectively perform your duties.

Stamina: The job at times may involve working long hours in physically demanding conditions, so having the stamina to sustain performance throughout the workday is important. Example, uncontrolled environments, hot in summers, cooler in winter.
