U.S. Navy - Agency Wide PIPEFITTER LEADER (EXPERT) in United States
Summary You will serve as a PIPEFITTER LEADER (EXPERT) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY. The incumbent of this position will serve as an Expert Pipefitter leading a group to ensure work assignments are completed. This position is located in the Temporary Services Pipe Shop (99P). Applicants will only be considered for positions within their own UIC. For example: If you are within UIC 4523A, you will only be considered for positions within 4523A. Responsibilities You will work in accordance with developed technical direction including blueprints, and sketches to plan and lay out the routing and placement of various temporary piping systems and equipment. You will serve as an expert performing maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, installation, modification, and testing in the shop and onboard ships. You will coordinate work between different entities to ensure efficient work flow is maintained. You will inspect completed and in process work for quality of workmanship and adherence to requirements, specifications, standards, plans and schedules. You will perform reviews of documents associated with completed work and trade processes to ensure they are filled out adequately and accurately before being presented to the supervisor for certification.
